The scientific principles behind Cryolipolysis / Fat Freezing were discovered over 40 years ago.
The process was developed by Harvard Medical School students and Cryogeninc Lipolysis was born (also known an cryolipolysis / cryolipo / Fat Freezing). Therefore the science is medically proven.
The Cryolipolysis process targets and treats fat bulges and stubborn areas of fat rapidly freezing the area.
The process freezes fat cells which die when frozen, the frozen fat breaks down and is dissolved, processed out through your body and secreted as part of your natural body function.
The cryolipolysis (Fat Freezing) machine we use is based on this principle using advanced technology. The results have been medically proven by many trails and measuring the fat layer via ultrasound after cryolipolysis to validate results. There are many clinical trials and reviews in scientific journals that verify the results and we have had some amazing results with up to 45% fat reduction in the treated area on many clients.

Emma founded Ice beauty after having the treatment herself. It was very expensive (£700 per area) so wanted to offer people the best value. Emma worked with the manufacturer of Cryolipolsyis machines to create our own branded machine. That direct engagement with the manufacturer and the lack of any advertising, means we are able to offer lower prices than the main brands but deliver the best possible results using the latest technology.
What happens during a fat freezing treatment
The Fat Freezing process is relatively simple. You identify a fat area you would like to reduce, we measure the fat area to ensure that we apply the right temperature and length of treatment, mark the area and decide which size cryolipo head to use.
We then put on a special anti freeze membrane and the machine heats and then rapidly cools the area for between 40 and 60 minutes.
At the end of the cryolipo the area will be red and numb and possibly with some localised bruising. This is only temporary and you can go back to work / start physical activity again straight away.
Fat is then reduced over 3-12 weeks. The frozen fat dies and is removed from your body naturally. Some clients have reported good results within 1 week but the best results are seen after circa 3-12 weeks. See our FAQs for more in depth details on the actual process.
latest 360 fAT freezing
To ensure our clients continue to acheive the best possible results have recently upgraded our machine to the latest 360 Cryolipolysis fat freezing technology.
This is 60% more effective than the old style due to the fact the treatment heads use an all around cooling plate and 12 variations of contour attachment's to enable more effective targeting of the treatment area.
The majority of our competitors still use outdated treatment cups that have 2 cooling plates either side of the cup which only freezes 40% of the treated area. These types of machine are now old technology having been around since 2008, new advancements from 2023 onwards mean that these treatments are not as effective.

Regardless of the name or brand machines used each are very similar and use the same process of sucking the skin and fat to be frozen into a cooling cup and precisely targeting the area to be frozen. The older machines uses 2 plates that cover each side, our latest 360 degree treatment freezes the whole area.
The process requires expertise to assess the fat thickness and required freezing temperatures in order to achieve the optimum results and ensure patient safety. Emma is a Cryolipolysis expert so able to assess you in order to get the best results.
why is Croylipolysis so expensive in some places?
Simply put you are paying for shiny clinics and corporations profits.
As a small family owned independent clinic Emma is determined to keep prices low yet service and results high. We aim to provide value for money for all customers across Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Somerset and the rest of the UK.
Our own cryolipolysis, radio frequency, cavitation pricing structure is possible due to low overheads, no advertising costs (word of mouth and this site only) to enable us to provide great value for money. Please be assured Emma is highly trained and comprehensively insured.
Treatments at the Ice Beauty clinic are no less effective - just much less expensive. Emma has clients who have paid £1000 per area for exactly the same treatment with the same machine and that was before she upgraded. She thinks these levels of charges are ridiculous and not good value for money, you are simply paying for a town centre rent in s shiny building, branding such as that offered by various named brands and advertising. Often for an unexperienced technician to do the treatment in an unpersonalised manner.
Please be aware we have recently had clients approaching us after treatments via voucher sites and very low cost treatment providers that did not work. That is because the didn't do the treatment correctly so it has been both a waste of time and money for the client. Therefore please be aware of low prices you may see on groupon etc, also there is no need to pay £500+ per treatment.
WHAT IS CAVITATION FAT REDUCTION?
Cavitation, often referred to as ultrasonic cavitation or ultrasound cavitation is a non invasive procedure to break down fat cells.
Where you aren't suitable for Fat freezing / Cryolipolysis we are able to offer this as an alternative or as a complimentary service to Fat freezing,
Cavitation uses low frequency sound waves to heat and vibrate the layer of fat cells below the skins surface, causing pressure which causes the fat cells to liquify then are eliminated safely through your lymphatic system.
This procure is not quite as effective as Cryolipolysis / fat freezing but is an alternative if you are unsuitable due to health issues or there are issues getting a treatment up into an area. We also offer it as a complementary treatment to Cryolipolysis to help promote the breakdown of fat cells and lymphatic drainage. It is pain free and there is no down time.
